Zig Zag Hat for Baby

I made this for the arrival of a new baby in the family later in the year. Don't know if it will be a girl or a boy yet.

    About

    I decided this hat would be nice to knit due to it's pretty cable design. The wool I used seemed more purple prior to knitting it up, but in certain lights it looks blue. We don't know yet whether baby is a boy or a girl. I think it would be nice to decorate the hat with knitted or cloth flowers, if I need to make the hat more suitable for a girl.
