Tree of Life Baby Blanket

    Emergency! Baby born very early, my friend is knitting a baby blanket which is only one third complete.
    And then the 'flower garden' section turned out to be problematic.
    Firstly, we had real trouble understanding the instructions for the leaves of the flowers. And then, when we did work out what it meant (I think), it appeared that the leaves are just long loops - which doesn't seem very safe for a newborn baby - easy to get little fingers caught.
    So I devised a similar flower with cabled leaves instead - and spent a day knitting this section for her.
    Then as the day of the visit grew close I had to lend a hand again, knitting the seed stitch border. I have to say I rather enjoyed this 'time share' knitting. Project finished and looking lovely
