    About

A mitten for all those longing for spring at the end of winter …
Inspired by the beautiful cyanotypes (also called blueprints) created by Botanist Anna Atkins in the mid-19th century.

The yarn I chose isn’t very sturdy, so these are “Sunday mittens” rather than designed for hard wear.

When knitting with these two colours, I noticed hardly any difference in yarn weight, even though Arroyo is considered sport and Rastita DK weight. Perhaps I got a skein of particularly light Rastita - at any rate both felt like a light DK/sport weight to me.
