Another commission to make this fun and colourful knit. I didn't have a stash of odds an ends this time around, so had to use my stock of yarns that I had just ordered in for my latest round of pattern development. This cardigan used about 12 balls of Big Wool mixed with 5 different balls of Cotton Wool, 2 colours of Kid Classic and a couple of balls of aran and worsted yarns in green and yellow. It is a really substantial piece, a veritable hug in the guise of a hand knit. I agree it would be a very costly exercise to replicate this, but it would be oh so warm and very long lasting. I still hold true to the spirit of the design, i should be made with all of your odds and ends, however, the sewing in was way more straightforward with this version.
