I like knitting up gifts for people while I'm travelling, so I started this cowl on the airplane. The purpose of our trip was to visit Joe & Carol, an adorable couple of older friends that live next to the Colombia river in Oregon. Every day they go out and walk the dogs next to the river or on the beach. In autumn and winter the wind can get really cold, so a soft and warm cowl is definitely needed.

I ended up not having enough yarn, so I finished with a very soft and fluffy deep purple yarn, which gave a nice effect and it was also a good learning for me to see the difference in stitch definition and look between the 2 different yarns.
