These started off as socks to use up leftover yarn but realised I didn’t have enough so adapted them to mittens

Yes, it was left over wool and they started out as socks but when I realised there wasn’t going to be enough wool I turned them into mittens. Turns out my sock width fit isn’t much different to my hand, 2.25 mm needles and 60 stitches, then I left 12 stitches on waste yarn for the thumb and knitted round and round the remaining until I had the length I was happy with. When I knitted the thumb I picked up 4 stitches, I love the small gauge and think I’ll always knit my gloves like this now x
