    About

The moon runs after the sun, here the sky is still blue.

This morning, the star is blazing, illuminating my path, warming my soul.
Under a flood of colours, immobile trees resist and then slowly fall asleep, revealing their tortuous cables, their winding, structured bark : lines of life.
My feet sink into this felted double seed stitches carpet, making the leaves crunching.
I’m hanging on to the flamboyant season where yellow melts into orange revealing reddish touches : holy berries, a forgotten raspberry, some majestic Royal Chrysanthemum.
But already the winter chill looms on the horizon, the birds are taking flight, the sky turns grey again, the moon swallows up the sun.
The winter trap gets closer. This will be for another time.

I used Rowan Yarn, Kid Classic, in Cherry Red shade which is a finer wool than the one recommended, mainly to "break" the imposing, massive side of this no less wonderful jumper.
I also skipped the turtleneck collar, preferring a round neckline which, in my opinion, highlights the tangle of cables.
Melissa Leapman is the inspired designer of the #14 Cable Turtleneck which you can find in Designer Knitting (Vogue Knitting) magazine, Winter 2012/13.
Some research later, it turns out that this pattern is also available on Ravelry, under the same name #14 Cable Turtleneck.
