    About

I wanted to make something special to welcome a first grandchild into the world - to knit love into it with every stitch while they were growing ready to be born into the world. It took me much longer than I'd anticipated as the pattern was very intricate and needed full concentration but it somehow felt this was in line with the baby taking time to grow in the womb.

Absolutely beautiful, a real labour of love and work of art. And I love the stories behind this knitting, both for your long awaited first grandchild and from the designers cathedral observations whilst wandering the UK... great similarity to the cathedral roof photo!

Hello Vera. I so enjoyed knitting your beautiful pattern and it felt wonderful to give this as a gift to my grandson on the day he was born. An heirloom indeed. My grandmother taught me to knit so it felt like I was passing on her love too in this blanket.
