YO [jou]

YO is a relaxed cap in the spirit of a traditional student cap, but not as uptight. The name of the cap comes from the Finnish abbreviation of student: ylioppilas. A quick project that is finished in couple of nights.

SIZES: S – M – L – XL to fit head Circ 48/50 – 52/54 – 54/56 – 58/60 cm (19.2/20 – 20.8/21.6 – 21.6/22.4 – 23.2/24”)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Circ 46 – 50 – 54 – 58 cm (18.4 – 20 – 21.6 – 23.2”), height 22 – 24 – 25 – 26 cm (8.8 – 9.6 – 10 – 10.4”) – Observe: the cap is supposed to be fitted.

YARN WEIGHT: fingering (14-16 wpi)

MATERIALS: CC (black) about 60-80 m (66-88 yd) and MC (white) about 110-130 m (120-145 yd)

NEEDLES: two 2.5 mm (US 1.5) circular needles or a size to obtain gauge

GAUGE: 10 x 10 cm (4") = 26 sts and 35 rows
