Yarn Strata Afghan

The Yarn Strata Afghan is made up of only half double crochet throughout, plus foundation and turning chains, making it a very simple-to-stitch design. The layered ribbing and color changes keep it interesting. You can use gradient yarn packs, such as used in the sample, or try a variegated yarn or scrap yarn from your stash in various colors.

Finished Size: You may make this afghan to any desired dimensions and also choose which way you want the stripes & ribbing to run, whether horizontally or vertically. Yardage estimate for a blanket measuring 50” x 70” is approx. 2,400 yards using similar materials as used in sample.

Materials: You may use yarn and hook of choice with this pattern. Sample afghan used • Worsted weight gradient packs (50 gram balls) • Crochet hook size K (6.5 mm)
