I have used WYS Signature 4 ply several times to make socks. It is a hard-wearing long-lasting - both are excellent qualities in socks. It is extremely good for colour work. When it is being worked (knitted or crocheted) it feels a little rough but it softens more with every wash without losing its wear qualities.several pairs of my socks are around 15 years old!

I use it to machine knit, first of all rewinding it . Knits beautifully with a lovely even texture. Colours are stunning and little or no residue on machine after knitting. The jumpers keep their appearance-still love one I knitted in 2019. I do not think I have ever found a flaw and I would say you get what you pay for in terms of quality, ease of use and keeping its appearance.
The Sparkle Sock yarn is lovely to work with. The stripes of color are bright and evenly spaced, making it easy to match the second sock. I purchased 3 different colored yarns and love them all. The 1st pair are finished and I am now working on the second sock of the second pair. Thank you again for such a lovely sock yarn to work with.
LoveCraft is the best!!
Excellent quality yarn at a reasonable price! I knit for charity and I'm so happy to be able to use such high quality yarn that I can afford! I also love their yarn that will be used for my next sock projects!
Great service, great products
Super soft wool, knits up beautifully. Love the colours and patterns that reveal themselves as you knit. Perfect for anyone who loves colour projects but hates darning in ends!
West Yorkshire Spinners signature 4 ply is my favourite wool for socks, the colours are great, it is lovely to knit with and is hardwearing and washes well.
Could have been quite nasty but wasn’t
Using it to make quite loose floppy zigzag scarves: enjoyed the first one so much I’ve bought the wool for two more. The yarn is lovely to work with, evenly spun throughout, and using two balls alternately makes for an interestingly varied pattern. I haven’t yet tried using balls of two different colours - it’s hard to properly assess the colours from the website. The purple ones I used were true to colour, but my subsequent purchases were drabber than the website implied: the scarves will be...
Fast service. Lovely sock wool.
Knit up beautifully makes lovely comfy socks. Hardwearing too. Made my first pair 2 years now and still going strong. Wash in Persil Silk and Wool on wool programme in machine. Don’t tumble dry and they come out like new. Free pattern was inaccurate. It said “repeat the last 2 rows 31 times” ,which would have been another 62 rows. But they meant to keep repeating them until you’d completed another 31 rows.
Straight forward easy to use site
Have made many pairs of socks from WYS sock yarn. Particularly like the colour combinations relating to the different birds. Socks comfortable, long lasting. Wash well in machine on wool cycle.
My go-to sock yarn of all time. Knits up beautiful, washes well, lasts well and comes in a stunning range of colours. Feels comfortable to knit with and gives you that "just one more row" feeling. Socks whip up so quickly!
