I have used lots of this wool for cardigans lots of socks and gloves. It’s perfect and the colours are lovely. I have used WYS Signature 4 ply several times to make socks. It is a hard-wearing long-lasting - both are excellent qualities in socks. It is extremely good for colour work. When it is being worked (knitted or crocheted) it feels a little rough but it softens more with every wash without losing its wear qualities.several pairs of my socks are around 15 years old!
I use it to machine knit, first of all rewinding it . Knits beautifully with a lovely even texture. Colours are stunning and little or no residue on machine after knitting. The jumpers keep their appearance-still love one I knitted in 2019. I do not think I have ever found a flaw and I would say you get what you pay for in terms of quality, ease of use and keeping its appearance.
Good reliable site for knitting and craft supplies
Used this for years for socks. Can’t fault it hard wearing, washes well in machine on wool cycle with wool wash. Doesn't pill or fluff wears well. Nice to knit with no splitting.
Lovely yarn to work with, no knots. i have knitted with this yarn before, those socks are now 2 years old and still going strong. More than happy to purchase again

A great yarn for knitting with, doesn't split easily, hard wearing for making socks, but can also make jumpers or anything else 4-ply! Soft to touch and pretty to look at!
West Yorkshire spinners 4 ply is the best wool ever. Lovely colours to knit socks and gloves. I have 7 cardigans knitted in this wool. Highly recommend to anyone. I have been knitting for 71 years since I was 5 yrs old and this is my favourite wool of all time.

I knit socks on a circular sock machine. This yarn runs through my machine like butter. The self striping colors knit up beautifully.
I love the colours in the bird range, swallow robin and pheasant are favourites and I have recently purchased blue tit, owl and sterling which are equally lovely. These would knit up fast with attractive striped results. After years of knitting socks with many different makes of wool these are now my go to brand and I won't knit with anything else.
