Product Description
The Wattle Stitch Beanie was designed for Menstrual Health. The beanie is Red because that is the color of yarn associated with Menstrual Awareness. This is to teach girls how to handle their cycles when they first occur. There are products that are reusable, which helps girls in low economic places.
There are multiple sizes to choose from, they range from 0-3mths to Adult Large. The pattern is worked sideways and then the edges are sewn together to close the sides and top of the beanie.
The price of this beanie is a little more than normal because part of the purchase proceeds will be going to an organization that helps young girls be educated on this subject.
The beanie can be made in multiple sizes from Newborns to Large Adult. The beanies is crocheted sideways and then seamed together to close the sides and crown.
I used Joann Big Twist yarn in designing this Beanie. It calls for 50-300 yards of Worsted Weight Yarn.
