Walking Boots Socks

I designed these socks to wear with my walking boots. The simple cable pattern provides extra cushioning and makes them so comfy to wear! The socks are knitted toe-up using Judy’s Magic Cast on (so no seaming or grafting) and a German short-row heel. This pattern is designed for the magic loop technique, but you can adapt it for DPNs if you prefer.

It is suitable for any worsted weight yarn but I would always recommend a superwash merino. The socks pictured were knitted with a full 100g ball of The Uncommon Thread Lush Worsted, colour ripe plum.
