What Is Being Made

The Victoria Regina Gauntlets are a pair of crocheted hand coverings designed as a tribute to Queen Victoria and steampunk aesthetic. These lacy gauntlets function as both practical warm-weather accessories and costume pieces suitable for steampunk-themed events. The design features the same pattern for both the left and right hands, making the construction straightforward once the initial gauntlet is completed.

Craft and Technique

This project uses the crochet technique throughout. The pattern requires foundational crochet skills including working in the round, which creates the tubular structure of the gauntlets. The designer assumes crafters are comfortable with essential crochet techniques before beginning this project, making it suitable for those with intermediate-level experience rather than absolute beginners.

Stitches Used

The Victoria Regina Gauntlets incorporate several fundamental crochet stitches to create their lacy appearance and structure:
