Upland Socks

These toe up socks are worked with a bowtie heel, a version of a short row heel that I prefer to use, and tutorials for the Twin stitch short rows are linked in the pattern.  The stitch pattern on the Upland Socks is both written as well as charted in the pattern.

Yarn  String Theory Hand Dyed Yarn ‘Caper Sock’  (400 yards /366 meters per 100g skein, 80% SW Merino Wool, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon)  Sample shown in Lichen

Needles  US 1 (2.25 mm) DPNs, or needles for preferred method of working small circumferences in the round, or size to obtain gauge

Gauge  34 st and 46 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette st

Finished Sizes Sizes are primarily based on average foot width,  foot length chart is provided for custom fit to  wearer’s foot.
