Product Description
This shawl is crocheted entirely in slip stitches. I wanted to make a striped rectangle that is worked from the inside out. As slip stitches done in rounds shift and thus all corners are askew, I developed the two-step construction which is worked in rows, each color separately, with proper corners.
A lacy border sets off the light shawl.
Pattern includes written instructions and picture tutorials for the stitches and for my technique of working a twostep rectangle. The stitches used are front loop only slip stitch (F) and inverse back loop only slip stitch (iB).
yarn: * 50 g (2 oz) ITO Kouki in Penguin (color 234) (269 meters/ 294 yards)) * 100 g (3.5 oz) Yarn Edition Silk & SeaCell in Nyx (color 011) (366 meters/ 400 yards)
Yarns can easily be substituted.
hook: 4.5 mm (US size G or H)
