I’ve wanted to be able to work colour and texture into a design for some time and could never quite get it to work, other than using brioche, which I admit is lovely, but isn’t quite what I was after. I’m really pleased with this though which is extremely textured! The way it is made means that you almost get a woven-like fabric – almost not knitting at all! It is worked using the ‘double knitting’ technique. Usually used in a rib to give completely reversed stitches on the two sides of your work, here I done it in moss (seed) stitch to create really distinct stitch shapes and textures. The scarf is reversible too which I think is a must for any scarf really.
