Product Description
It has become a tradition for me to design a Mandala to use as a CAL between Christmas and New Year (Twixmas).
This mandala can be made in any yarn provided you use a suitably sized crochet hook. I prefer to use double knit (DK) yarn and a 4mm hook and the finished size for mine is about 29cm (11¼”) across at the widest point after blocking, it was about 1cm (½”) less before blocking. It uses small quantities of colourful yarn of your choice, up to 20g/18m of each colour at the most. The only colour design I would suggest is that centre, rounds 1, 2 and 12 should be the same colour – otherwise let your colour choice lead you to something magical!
This year I have also made a mandala in 4ply yarn using a 3mm hook. The finished size is about 25cm (10”) across after blocking, it was about 1cm (½”) less before blocking.
