Tunisian Smock Stitch Poncho

This pattern is for a poncho created using the Tunisian Crochet Smock Stitch. If you’ve never created the Tunisian Smock stitch, don’t fret. It is easy to learn and uses basic crochet stitches. You will need a long Tunisian Crochet hook and two contrasting yarn colors to complete the poncho as shown. You can make the poncho in a single color if you prefer. You do not need to know Tunisian Crochet to complete this project. The pattern includes instructions for a regular and oversized poncho. Instructions for an optional, removable neck warmer are also included.

To make the poncho using two-colors as shown, you'll need approximately 1000 yds in one color and 1800 yards in the second (more dominant) color.
