About the Design: This design uses a variegated yarn, with short color lengths, giving a stained glass effect. Using only 2 yarns also eliminates the need to break and rejoin colors, making the knitting easier for a knitter who is new to stranding.
This revised pattern has spout and handle openings for a cozy that can remain on the teapot, whilst pouring. The original un-spouted version is also included – your choice!
These tea cozies are knit in Kraemer Yarns Naturally Nazareth, a soft, aran weight wool yarn. One skein each of the two colors will make both tea cozies. The spouted samples are lightly fulled – see Finishing, in the pattern.
**Yarn: **Kraemer Yarns Naturally Nazareth, 100% Domestic wool, approx 184 yd / 100 gram skein: 1 skein each of #Y1308 Hayride (A) and Y1302 Autumn (B) (One skein of each will make both versions.)
Gauge: 20 sts and 22 rows = 4″ (10 cm) over stranded patt with size 7-8 (4.5-5mm) ndls or size to give gauge.
