Designed to support marriage equality in Australia in 2017 , you will need 50 g of red and violet 8 ply yarn and a 4.50 hook to make these flags . You need 20 g of yellow , orange , blue , green and purple yarn to complete the garland . Any other hook such as a 4.00 mm or a 5.00 mm will also work as gauge is not important . The size given is for one flag . When stretched out with the two ties , the bunting measures approximately two metres . Not suitable for placement near babies’ cots or children’s beds due to ties .
