Product Description
With all that’s gone on this year, why not put on your Furred Lines Cape and escape with me to your perfect Winter Wonderland…
The Furred Lines Cape is an advanced beginner friendly pattern that was designed with comfortability and ease of styling in mind, because during these cooler months I often find that I get a little uncomfortable when wearing thick scarves and/or jumpers under my coat, well this isn’t an issue with this versatile hooded cape.
The cape is complete with a slightly oversized hood, gorgeous texture, and the chance to let your imagination run wild. It also introduces you to a fibre that i don’t see used often enough - faux fur yarn.***
Pattern is written in two sizes; (the size you choose will entirely depend on the fit you’d prefer but my recommendation is) ***SIZE 1 (XS-L) and SIZE 2 (XL-5XL)***, instructions as to how you can further adjust the sizing are also included.

The Furred Lines Cape by The Wool Flower Co
Project Overview
The Furred Lines Cape is an intermediate-level crochet design created by Shannon-Jaide Hyland of The Wool Flower Co. This downloadable PDF pattern provides instructions for crafting a stylish cape suitable for crocheters with foundational skills and experience working with basic crochet techniques.
What Is Being Made
This pattern creates a furred lines cape—a wearable garment designed to drape elegantly over the shoulders. The cape is a versatile layering piece that combines comfort with contemporary crochet design aesthetics.
Craft and Primary Technique
The Furred Lines Cape is constructed using crochet as the primary crafting method. Crochet is a fiber art that uses a single hook to create interlocking loops of yarn, building fabric from the ground up. This technique is ideal for creating structured yet flexible garments like capes that require drape and movement.
Stitches and Construction Details
The pattern utilizes standard crochet stitches to build the cape structure. The design incorporates foundational crochet techniques appropriate for intermediate crafters. Important pattern notes indicate that beginning chains do not count as stitches, which affects stitch counting and pattern progression. Crocheters should verify their tension before beginning, as the designer notes working with a relatively loose tension that may differ from individual crafting styles.
Materials and Yarn Specifications
The Furred Lines Cape is designed to be worked in worsted weight yarn, a medium-weight yarn category that provides good stitch definition while remaining accessible for most skill levels. Worsted weight yarn works efficiently with standard crochet hooks, making this pattern practical for various fiber choices within this weight category. A crochet hook appropriate for worsted weight yarn is required to complete this project.
Pattern Format and Usage
This pattern is provided as a downloadable PDF, allowing crafters to access instructions digitally and reference them while working. The pattern is written in US crochet terminology. Crocheters using UK terminology should consult standard conversion charts to translate stitch names appropriately before beginning.
Difficulty Level
Rated as intermediate, this pattern is suitable for crocheters who have mastered basic stitches and are comfortable following multi-step instructions and managing garment construction. The intermediate designation suggests the pattern may include techniques such as shaping, stitch variations, or more complex stitch sequences beyond absolute beginner level.
