The basic cardigan

Crochet pattern for THE (perfect) basic cardigan. This is a beginner friendly pattern for a comfortable and trendy cardigan. Once you have made one you will be capable to make many more according to your own wishes : using different colours, different lengths, ... The pattern has fully written instructions in 7 sizes : from XS up to 3XL.

Yarn : Aran/worsted weight yarn, suitable for 5 mm crochet hook. Depending on the size you make you need +/- : 1300 (1450, 1600, 1800, 2000, 2250, 2500)m of yarn.

Samples made with :

Striped Cardigan : Lana Grossa Brigitte No 2

Grey cardigan : Lang Yarns Jawoll + Mohair Luxe held together.

Crochet hook : 5 mm and 5,5 mm.
