The Bambino Cardigan

The Bambino Cardigan is a quick and simple to crochet pattern which produces an adorable little cardigan which makes for the perfect baby gift. Worked top down, this cute little raglan style cardigan is ideal for keeping baby cosy whilst looking super cute.

This pattern uses US Terminology and simple stitches such as half double crochet, double crochet and front and back post double crochet stitches. Knowledge of the foundation double crochet stitch is useful for a quick start and stretchy neckline, however can be substituted with a chain and double crochets, which also work effectively.

The Bambino cardigan works up beautifully in Hayfield Bonus DK yarn (or any soft acrylic double knit yarn). A 3.5mm hook is recommended for this project however check with the gauge to ensure your tension matches this hook size.
