Swoop is one of those designs that kept playing in my head and I just had to realize it. My first try at the idea was with different stitches but it did not work out as intended. I did like the body pattern but the border did not work. This version is my second try and it seems perfect. The body is made lengthwise and later a border is added in the usual widthwise direction. The stitches are very easy and I am sure this shawlette would be a go-to piece in everyone’s closet. The choice of yarn can make a lot of difference in transforming this shawlette from simple to posh.
Gauge: Sock weight: 13 sts/5 rows = 4x4” in body pattern Fingering weight: 16sts/4 rows = 4x4” in body pattern
