As I was becoming a more and more proficient knitter, I gave my four then teen-aged daughters hand-knitted scarves, hats, bags, and more scarves. At one point, the four of them (collectively known as The Sweeties) respectfully and collectively requested that I stop giving them knitted items. I was stunned, and a wee bit hurt. But I got it.
Then came the weddings, and the babies. I went baby-knitting crazy. Booties. Blankets. Hats. Sweaters. Cozies. All of it was welcomed, but NOTHING was more successful than the SWEETIE-CERTIFIED LOVE BIBS! As the babies kept coming, The Sweeties kept respectfully asking for more of these bibs. If you’re like me, the joy is immense when you know your work is wanted, needed, and better than anything else they can get in the wide world of retail!
