Sunset Cotton Baby Top

One of my nephews emailed to say his new baby had arrived at the beginning of June. I didn’t have enough of any one colour cotton yarn to make a quick present so I put together a pile of seven colours and came up with this top. It has an opening at the top of the back (I’ve put a press stud, you could put a button or two). The stitch and hook combination make it quite open and cool. I hate seams, so none at the sides or shoulders, just two tiny ones for the sleeves, but you do have to join in a new colour every two rows, and stitch in the ends later, or do it in fewer colours. A friend wanted a larger one for her grandchild so there is a second size with one more colour in it.
