Summer Vacay mosaic square - Piñata Party

This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

The sample square alternates between 4 different colors for the main design rows, and has a solid color for the background rows. This is a great way to use up scraps! If using medium weight (#4) yarn, you will need approximately 2 oz of the background color, and approx .5 oz of all four piñata colors, however you could use one color for the piñata as well.
