Studded Diamonds Hat

I have recently become intrigued with producing more intricate designs that look like stranded colour work but are much simpler to knit using slipped stitches - only one colour is worked per round. This is not mosaic as it alternates the colour worked every round.

This hat is the companion to the Studded Diamonds Cowl. It will look best if made in one light colour and one dark colour to really show the pattern. You will need 50-95 yards (46-87 m) MC and 30-65 yards (27.5-59.5 m) CC.

The sample was made using two coordinating colours of Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend. If making both the hat and cowl 100 g of each will be enough, but you may need to swap your main and contrast colours, depending on the sizes made, to be on the safe side.
