Striped Alpaca Scarf

This is a very easy scarf pattern in a simple lace stitch and it knits up very rapidly. 

There is only one row which is repeated to make the pattern so the scarf is more or less the same on both sides and always lies completely flat.

I used Rowan Lima in seven colours but this is sadly discontinued. It would look good in any aran weight yarn and can be worked in up to fifteen colours or in just a single shade.  I have selected similar colours in Berroco Ultra Alpaca.

Knit in your own favourite shades or your team colours, or use up your aran yarn leftovers and have every stripe in a different colour and texture.
