Whatever the time of year you prefer to indulge in a little cocktail therapy, how does a splash of Strawberry Mojito sound today?
Continuing my alcohol-themed patterns, I’d like to serve you up a splash of Strawberry Mojito.

Strawberry Mojito Socks by RedScot
Project Overview
Strawberry Mojito Socks is an advanced-level knitted sock pattern designed by independent designer RedScot. This downloadable PDF pattern creates a pair of socks featuring a playful alcohol-themed design inspired by the classic strawberry mojito cocktail. The pattern combines vibrant pink and contrasting green colorways to evoke the visual appeal of the drink, with the stitch pattern mimicking strawberry details and the green serving as a mint garnish accent.
What Is Being Made
This pattern produces a pair of socks sized for a large fit, with an approximate ankle circumference of 11 to 12 inches. The design is worked in the round using traditional sock construction methods. The pattern is flexible for customization, allowing knitters to adjust sizing by changing needle sizes up or down as needed.
Knitting Techniques Used
The Strawberry Mojito Socks employ several advanced knitting techniques suitable for experienced crafters. The pattern utilizes stranded colorwork (also called Fair Isle knitting), which involves carrying multiple yarn colors throughout the work to create the strawberry and mint design elements. The socks are worked in the round, a fundamental sock-knitting technique that creates seamless fabric. The pattern accommodates multiple construction methods: traditional 5 double-pointed needles (dpns), two circular needles (2 circs), or the magic loop method, giving knitters flexibility in their preferred technique. The pattern notes that when using 5 dpns, there is a stitch that requires careful management between needles.
Stitches Used
The primary stitch structure is stockinette stitch (st st), which creates the smooth, classic sock fabric. The gauge is worked at 16 stitches and 24 rounds in stockinette stitch over 2 inches, establishing the fabric density and drape. The stitch pattern incorporates colorwork design elements that create the strawberry motif and mint garnish details characteristic of the mojito theme.
