This springbok granny square is approximately 20 cm x 20 cm (8.15” x 8.15”), and can be used as a component for crocheted items such as a blanket or cushion cover. The square can be used repeatedly, or with others. This is the fourteenth of my ‘South African animal’ granny squares. Keep your eyes open for the last three designs coming soon ;-)
It can also be framed framed and hung on a wall, as home décor - ideal in a nursery, or a child’s bedroom.
The pattern (written in US terms) calls for DK yarn in five colours (white, olive green, very dark brown, camel, and dark brown), and a 4.00 mm crochet hook is used throughout. In total, the approximate yardage is 61 m (67 yds).
The only additional material required is a darning needle, with which to weave in the ends.

Busy with and enjoying crocheting this pattern. Just struggled to get the correct colour yarn. This pattern was not available in South Africa. I mean we Springboks are the World Champions in rugby and this blanket is going to be a masterpiece.
