Sock it To Me Earrings

This is a great project for using up little bits of sock yarn and if you are a sock lover you can make yourself a cute if slightly kitsch pair of earrings. If you have friends who love knitted socks but you don't want to go to the whole bother of knitting an entire pair of socks then surprise them with this tiny gift. They will work as clip ons or for pieced ears. Socks are so versatile. Don’t be put off by the small scale they are quite easy to make especially if you are familiar with the structure of a regular knitted sock. Just don’t let your cat near them. My cat Plum was particularly fascinated with these small specimens and kept trying to carry them off to parts unknown.!
