Snowfall Fairisle Nordic Mitts

These cosy fairisle mitts (fingerless gloves) are worked in the round from cuff to palm and feature snowy forest and traditional snowflake designs - perfect for winter. A pair of mitts can be knitted with two 50g balls of 4-ply yarn (one of each colour), leaving plenty to spare for other projects, so they are affordable to make and make perfect gifts.

Would look wonderful in a variety of colour combinations. Shown here in an icy turquoise, but if you choose a darker background colour, the design will be much bolder.

Suggested yarn: Schachenmayr Baby Smiles Bravo Baby. Shown in colours Opal (01067) and Natur (01002).

Each mitt measures approximately 18cm (7 ¼ inches) from cuff to palm edge.

You will need:-

- 1 set of circular needles size 2mm (US0) or size needed to match gauge

- 1 darning/wool needle for weaving in ends

- Stitch markers

- Stitch holder / scrap yarn
