Smocked Diamond Blanket/Throw

The unique stitch is easier than it appears and makes a cozy blanket or throw depending on the yarn and the needles used. The pattern is written and becomes intuitive as you knit. I've knit many of these in all sizes and weights of yarn. The gauge is 5,5 sts/inch with DK weight yarn or 3.5/inch in worsted weight yarn. The smocking pulls the ribbing together so you don't want your knitting fabric to be too dense.
