Sirenosa baby

This is for making a baby mermaid tail blanket which combines knitting and crochet techniques: body is worked with circular knitting needles while fin is worked in crochet, with short rows of post double crochet stitches. BUT if you only knit, it includes a knitting fin version. English US terms.

This lapghan is recommended for babies from 0 to 9 months, you follow the instructions for making a wrap with an open side or back, or making it as a cocoon - sleeping bag!

Gauge is not crucial for pattern, but you may need to calculate your own stitches if you use a different yarn than listed (or other needles/hook sizes).

Materials you will need are less than 200 g/600m of yarn and 7-10 mm needles+hook.
