• Body: Cast on 25 stitches using light blue wool and 3.25mm needles. The first row increases into every stitch, doubling the stitch count to 50. Stocking stitch is then worked for 23 rows to create the main body length
• Shoulders: A decrease row (knit 2 together across) reduces stitches back to 25, creating shoulder definition. One purl row follows
• Head: Stitches are increased again using the pattern "knit 1, increase in next stitch, knit 1" repeated to the end, creating 37 stitches for the head width. Stocking stitch continues for 17 rows. The head is then shaped with two successive decrease rows that taper the stitches down to 13 before binding off
