Sassia's socks

Sassia’s socks are inspired by Berber motifs, as on the fibula you can see on the pictures.

This fibula was owned by my mother-in-law, she used it to fasten her dress.

Construction:

These socks are worked from toes up, with a gusset and a heel flap.

Motifs:

The motifs are worked on the toes and on the ankle. They are explained by charts.

Sizes:

S/M (L/XL/2XL), depending on foot width: 20/22 (24/26/28) cm / 8/8½ (9½/10¼/11) inches of circumference. This corresponds to 56/60 (64/68/72) stitches.

11 shoe sizes: (EU) 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 / (US) 4, 5, 6, 6.5, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9.5, 10, 11, 12.

Yardage:

You will need 2 colours of fingering sock yarn.

1. 200/225 (250/275/300) meters / 220/250 (275/300/330) yards in MC (main colour).
2. 70/80 (90/100/110) meters / 80/90 (100/110/120) yards in CC (contrasting colour).
