Sanctuary Shawl

The Sanctuary shawl is a cozy lacy semi-circular shawl. It makes use of crochet and Tunisian crochet, however the Tunisian sections can all be worked with a standard straight shaft crochet hook, no Tunisian hook is necessary. If you are an experienced crocheter without Tunisian experience you should be able to make this shawl, since the Tunisian stitches are repetitive and the stitch patterns are repeated often. The pattern also gives extensive directions on how to start with Tunisian crochet. The shawl can be made in a small (magenta/purple sample) or large version (pink/mint sample). Small version: 400m (437yds)/100g in Main Colour 1 and 400m (437yds)/100g in Main Colour 2, and 365m (399yds)/100g in Contrast Colour. Large version: 850m (930yds)/200g in Main Colour 1, 425m (465yds)/100g in a Main Colour 2 and 425m (465yds)/100g in Contrast Colour. Yarn suggestions: either Cascade 220 Fingering OR Noro Silk Garden Sock Solo, or a similar suitable sock or fingering weight yarn.
