The squares are joined as you go, so there’s no seaming afterwards. The sleeves are worked in the round downwards from the shoulder to the cuff. The hood is worked upwards in one piece and there’s a short seam to close the top of the hood. This seam is worked in ss and can’t be seen, even when the hood is down. This pattern is great for using up yarn scraps.

MATERIALS 4mm crochet hook or size required to get tension of 16 sts and 7 rows = 10cm/4”. Each square measures 13.33cm/5.25”. 3mm crochet hook for edgings

I found the pattern rather difficult to follow. Several times during the work I had to rip out sections because the directions only became clear after working through a section of the pattern instructions. This was particularly so when working the sleeves. It would have been helpful if the correlation between the pattern rows and the colours had been set out clearly.
