Royal Cowl

This snug fitting cowl is made warm and cozy with a dense textured fabric made up of simple cable stitches. The i-cord edges give it structure and formality. It is shown here in Madelinetosh Pashmina Worsted - a beautifully soft merino, cashmere, and silk blend. Any worsted yarn may be used, especially a silk or cashmere blend. This intermediate pattern is worked in the round. Instructions are written and the pattern stitch is also charted. Skills required: knitting in the round, cabling with a cable needle, increasing, decreasing, i-cord cast on and bind off (instructions included), grafting i-cord ends (photo tutorial included). Stitches used: k, k2tog tbl, kfb, C4B, C4F. Finished measurements: Approximately 28 cm long and 24 cm wide laid flat, after blocking. Total circumference is approximately 56 cm.
