River Shannon

River Shannon as written is a triangular shawl, knit from tip to tip. It is very easy to make this shawl longer and narrower if you wish, by knitting several rows in the center with no increases or decreases. One skein of sock yarn, or sport weight yarn is all it takes, however, you can use as much yarn as you want - the shawl is easily adjustable, for both size and shape.

Solid coloured and tonal colourways work wonderfully with River Shannon. Variegated, hand painted and self striping colourways also work well with River Shannon. This is the pattern for your special hand dyed beautiful skeins. The stockinette centre panel is perfect for busy yarns. Ombre yarns are also well suited.

A Fibonacci sequence colour blocking pattern is included to make the blue, white and pink striped shawl. Total yarn used is about 115 grams. This version of River Shannon is perfect for using up left over sock yarn. 20 - 40 grams per colour.
