What is Puto Bumbong?
It is a traditional steamed rice cake made from purple glutinous rice flour. It is popular during the Christmas season, but it can be enjoyed any time of the year. It is usually served warm with butter, grated coconut, and sugar.
Puto Bumbong is the second character in my Amigurumi Food Series.
The pattern includes instructions for crocheting the clay stove, steamer, bamboo tubes, and puto bumbong.
