What is Being Made

The Picarany Mittens are a pair of seamlessly knitted mittens designed for a perfect fit. These mittens feature a classic construction with a thumb gusset, a folded cuff with picot edging embellishment, and a hand section decorated with a cute bobble pattern. The mittens are finished with a round top, making them suitable for both beginner and experienced knitters.

Knitting Techniques

These mittens are knitted seamlessly in the round, which eliminates the need for seaming and creates a smooth, professional finish. The construction includes several key techniques:

• Thumb gusset: A classic shaping method that creates a comfortable and well-fitting thumb opening by increasing stitches strategically
• Stocking stitch cuff: The cuff is worked in stocking stitch, then folded to create a neat, finished edge
• Picot edging: An embellished edge detail that adds visual interest to the folded cuff
• Bobble pattern: Decorative bobbles are incorporated into the hand section for texture and charm
