Pacific Coast Wrap

This pattern is for a beautiful worsted weight garter stitch shawl/wrap with fade sections between each colour. I chose to make mine a fade with 5 different complimentary skeins, but you could customize yours and make it solid, or use more or less colours for the fade. There are two fade options for this design, one with 5 equal width sections (like my sample) and one with equal yardage sections (longer sections for the ends, thinner section for the center).

Size: ~65 inches wingspan, ~25 inches in depth (blocked measurements, no tassels)

Needles required: US 7/4.5 mm with a 32 inch or longer cord

Gauge: 18 sts x 26 rows = 4 x 4 inches (garter, wet blocked) 18 sts x 32 rows = 4 x 4 inches (garter, unblocked)

Yardage required:

Worsted weight 5 skeins (or ~715 yards total for the shawl and ~75 yards total for the 3 tassels) Equal width sections you’d need 63/173/240/170/65 yds per colour for your 5 skein fade Equal yardage would be about 145 yds per colour
