Owl Hanger in Macrame Style

Inspired by the macramé owls I remember my mum making, this pattern will let you create a sweet little crochet replica.

It measures approximately 16" from the top of the hanging chain to the bottom of the tassels. Other yarn and hook combinations may work but size cannot be guaranteed.

You will need 35g DK (8ply) weight crochet cotton (~50m), 3.50mm hook, two 6" (15cm) twigs or wooden chopsticks trimmed to length, two safety eyes (buttons or beads), one stitch marker and a needle for neatening ends.

The example was worked in 100% cotton dishcloth thread.

Stitch count is given in bold after each row/round.
