Ollie the Octopus

Ollie the Octopus is ready for an exciting day under the sea, and waves hello eight times with their colourful tentacles. This cuddly octopus toy is knit mostly in stockinette with simple increases and decreases for shaping, and a little embroidery to add the finishing details. The little flower decoration on the hat uses short rows to shape the petals. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the octopus is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, short row shaping and seaming to finish.
