Old Timey Happy Halloween mosaic crochet banner

This pattern is part of my Classic Horror Films series, to create an overlay mosaic crochet Banner that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, table runners, wall hangings, etc.

Please note: current PDF has chart only but will be updated at a later time with written row-by-row instructions.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 33.5” x 13”.

To do the sample image, you will need 2 colors of yarn, all in the same yarn weight. The B rows (background) take approximately 4 oz total (200 yards), and the A rows (black outlines & letters) take slightly less than that amount.

The image shows an optional border, which takes another 2 oz of yarn, however you can omit this or add your own choice of border.
