Product Description
Are you a codfish? Maybe not, but the fish tail-like lace running down the front of these socks might catch your fancy. They're worked from cuff down, with columns of biased fabric to ensure a snug fit and counteract the stretchiness of the lace. Pair the pattern with a beautiful hand-painted yarn and your feet (or flippers) will look perfectly elegant. A heel flap and gusset and wide toe ensure a comfortable fit.
To knit this pattern you need to know how to knit and purl, work in the round, work twisted stitches (k tbl), work basic decreases (k2tog, ssk, p2tog), work a lace pattern from a chart or written directions, and graft live stitches.
Most knitters will be able to get a pair of socks out of one 100 g skein of fingering weight sock yarn. If your feet are exceptionally long and/or wide, you may need more than one skein. Please be sure you have enough yarn to complete your project.
This pattern has been professionally tech edited.
